Honestly, without googling, i wouldn't know the yellow-red striped flag, and the black with orange circle flag, and the white flag, which is different from NASCAR.

I know yellow and red stripes, don't know half-black-half-white or black with orange. And if white doesn't mean "final lap" then I guess I don't know that one either.

I know all of them. Yellow and orange means oil or fluid on track. Black with orange circle is a warning. White is car stopped on track I believe.

White is slow moving vehicle on track. Generally a towtruck or the like.
Not sure on the half black/white...
Black with orange is your car has something wrong mechanically, so pit now before you blow up and dump oil all over. Generally called the meatball flag.

I've always heard that the red/yellow is just that something is different with the surface from the last lap. Generally for oil or fluids, but also if someone kicked up a lot of mud or for debris from contact.
White is just slow moving car on track, generally a tow truck.

Usually its whenever there's a foreign substance on track. I've seen it out for multiple laps in a row during SVRA races.

Yeah, I remember a few years ago they had it out at a ALMS race for a mirror that had been knocked off and was right in the middle of the line. It was out for probably 8 or so laps, and eventually it seemed the corner worker just got tired and put it away.
The next lap the mirror was hit, and glass flew everywhereeeee. We were standing nearby and had to duck and cover.

Yellow and Red is slippery surface, so often when fluid is down, or if its just started raining. Sometimes they can use it for gravel/dust on track too, although thats pretty rare.
Half Black Half White is a warning flag. So its not a penalty, but its a 'do it again and youll get a penalty flag'. Accompanied by a car number to show who its for.
Black and Orange is a mechanical damage flag, so pit to solve it. can be bodywork loose, or like your leaking fluid from the car.
black is disqualified. youve been a very naughty boy.
white flag everywhere outside the US means slow vehicle on track. US means last lap.
Anorak zipped up nice and tight this evening :D

Was at the TUDOR race at vir this weekend, learned that they only put that out for two laps or so then it's up to the drivers to remember that it is there.

Track days use the same flags, which is the only way I know them.
They can meatball you on even the slightest suspicion your car has a problem.
I run E85, so the exhaust smells very sweet, especially if you've never smelled a car running it before. I was zipping around on my first session out, and got it thrown on me. Pull into grid to talk to the flag dude and see what's up... "We've had reports your car smells weird, like you blew a headgasket. Is your coolant temp ok?" I just about slammed my head into the horn, a trackday headdesk if you will. I showed him where it was sitting at 180 (only have a digital readout, thanks Chevy) and told him I run on ethanol. The guy knew that meant it smells funny, so sent me back out on track, no problem. He said he would let the tower know in case it happened again. Someone one else on track smelled my car and were so concerned they pulled off track to report me.

What i read on google was the white flag means there is a slow car on the track, other comments here said that as well

Half black and white means a warning, example if you do corner cutting, i know this because F1 2013 game lol. If you get another white and black flag you get a penalty.

Well eventually that slow car becomes a stopped car! I was guessing on that one but I roughly knew what it was.

After a certain number of laps, "things on the racing surface" (like mirrors, sand, oil, etc.), just become "the racing surface", so they withdraw the debris flag.
